PETA offers to pay for Lindsay Lohan's rehab

People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) have offered to pay off actress Lindsay Lohan's rehab bill if she turns vegetarian.

Lohan is reportedly struggling to fund her treatment at the Betty Ford Center, reports dailystar.co.uk.

"We understand that you've fallen on tough economic times, so we're writing to you with an offer that we sincerely hope you'll consider," an official at PETA wrote in a mail to the actress.

"PETA will help pay your $50,000 bill for substance addiction treatment if you'll rid yourself of one more toxic substance: meat. As you know, a crucial part of any recovery is showing charity to others. One way to do this is to be kind to animals, the Earth, and your own body. You'll never regret it."

Lindsay, who voluntarily entered the facility last month, was told by the court that she must stay in rehab until Jan 3 and the troubled actress has been warned by Judge Elden Fox and her lawyer that this is her last chance at avoiding a long jail sentence.

Fox told the actress, who broke the terms of her probation when she failed two drugs tests for cocaine and amphetamines in September, she would face six months in prison if she provided another positive drugs test before her next court appearance.

Naked starlets encouraging sexting among Oz teens

Experts have warned that starlets who promote their naked photos and videos are encouraging teens in Australia to take up sexting.

Child education expert and former police officer Susan McLean, said parents and teachers are at a loss to explain the prevalence of sexting in schools.

But she believes the bombardment of naked photos and videos associated with starlets like Kim Kardashian, Lara Bingle and Vanessa Hudgens may be partly to blame.

"You can Google almost any celebrity these days and find a link to sex tape, and there is pressure on girls to confirm," the Sydney Morning Herald quoted her as saying.

"They are certainly not mimicking the behaviour of teachers and parents," she said.

She also said songs like Ke$ha's Dirty Picture, in which the pop star implores her lover to "take a dirty picture for me" may also contribute to the normalisation of nude photography among impressionable teens.

"The number one reason girls give for sending these pictures was to be fun or flirtatious. I don't think people have appreciated how these celebrity images have built up over time," McLean stated.

A YouTube campaign urging teens to "Think before sexting" was launched last month in Canberra showing the story of Megan, who sent images to her boyfriend, which were then handed around her classroom.

Home Affairs Minister Brendan O'Connor said it was one video he hoped teens would not keep to themselves.

"We want to make sure that it's distributed as far and wide as possible, schools and others will be encouraged to use this video," he added.

Wardrobe Malfunction for Paris Hilton

Hotel heiress, model, singer and Reality TV star Paris Hilton had a tryst with embarrassment, as she had a wardrobe malfunction during a Halloween bash organised at the Playboy Mansion.

The reality TV star was dressed in a fringed bikini and feathers in her interpretation of an Indian warrior princess, but as she made her way to the bash her low cut top slipped down, reported TMZ.

The moment was captured by the horde of paparazzi assembled outside the venue. However, Paris was quick enough to hold her dress from falling apart and was escorted by her sister to avert further embarrassment.

Paris was overtanned and was looking somewhat hungry, but the incident of wardrobe malfunction took away all the charm that she had come there for.

Meanwhile her younger sister Nicky dressed up as Minnie Mouse, while their parents, Rick and Kathy Hilton came as a pair off police officers, with Kathy in a pair of patent leather knee boots and gun holster belt.

On her social networking site Tweeter, Paris tweeted about the party: ‘Just went into The Haunted House at The Playboy Mansion. So scary and fun!!!’

Pamela Anderson blasted for Playboy pay to charity

Baywatch star Pamela Anderson has been blasted by an Islamic rights group for donating her $25,000 Playboy modelling fee to charity as the money was obtained through "immoral acts".

Anderson posed nude for the January 2011 issue of the men's magazine and handed the pay cheque to Waves 4 Water - a charity that distributes filters to people who don't have access to clean drinking water in countries like Indonesia and Haiti.

Officials of the Islamic Defenders Front are fuming over the donation, claiming it is "against the law of God" to hand the modelling money to charity, contactmusic.com reports.

Habib Umar Salim of the Islamic Defenders Front said: "If she wants to be photographed naked, then she is challenging a bigger disaster to happen in Indonesia. It's haram (forbidden)."

Christina Aguilera, who filed for divorce from husband Jordan Bratman last month, says she is a fighter and thrives when things go wrong in her life.

Aguilera, who has previously claimed that her father physically abused her as a child, said, "I am one of those who is driven by people who tried to push me down, rather than being overcome by it. Even my past with my father and the abuse that went on, I developed a fighter outlook."

The singer has a two-year-old son Max with her estranged husband and although she is still focused on her career, she admitted she is looking forward to retirement and grandchildren already.

She said, "I hope to be an old woman sitting around in a rocking chair and then I'll get out all my awards and trophies and grandchildren's pictures and enjoy them.

Emma Watson wants to be naughtier

Emma Watson has revealed that it’s time for her to get a little more naughty now.

The 20-year-old, who plays Hermione Granger in Harry Potter, talked of her transformation from adolescence to womanhood.

"I wished I’d done more naughty things. Three months ago I cut my hair and at that moment I felt I became a woman. I'm ready to start taking risks," the Sun quoted her as saying.

"At the moment I'm just happy to be single. I want to live life to the full. But I'm more grown up and confident now. I'm ready to take more risks. I feel less girlish than ever," she added.

Watson also said that men rarely ask her on dates.

"I’m very romantic and of course I want to be in love. But men don't really ask me out. And I don't get marriage proposals any more either. It's not."
