Nikki Griffin Biography

Nicole (Nikki) Griffin was born on April 16, 1978 in Vicksburg, Mississippi, then later moved to North Carolina.
She attended the New Hanover High School in Wilmington, High School. In High School, she learned about the art of movies in film class from her teacher Marc Matney, who has performed English voice-overs for foreign films showing in the U.S. and England.
She moved out to Los Angeles with a friend so they could both break into show biz. After one month, her friend backed their bags and went back home. However, she came there for a reason, and she was going to stick it out until she made it. She did not make it big at first, but, since she had that beautiful youthful look, she was able to do some acting while breaking into the business.
Her first appearance on television was as an extra on the TV series Dawson's Creek in 2000, but her first real role (although small), was as Liz on the made for TV movie Darktales, also in 2000. She then had other small parts on TV and in the movies, such as in Summer Catch in 2001.
She continued to have small roles up until 2005, when she began to have a reoccurring role as Jesse on the popular TV series, The O.C. Her character on the show is a wild partier and drug addict - the complete opposite of Nikki in real life.
2005 was also a big year for her on the big screen, she had been given the role of Katie Johnson in the 2005 summer blockbuster movie Dukes of Hazzard starring Jessica Simpson, Johnny Knoxville and Seann William Scott, where she plays the beautiful and sexy love interest of both Bo and Luke Duke. She loved working with the cast - and since she has a love of cars, she enjoyed (driving and) riding around in the General Lee.

The Degrassi Years

In 2006, Nina joined the cast of Degrassi: The Next Generation. She played the role of Mia, a teenage mother and model who dates a variety of different characters from the high school. The show was shot in Nina’s hometown of Toronto, so she was able to identify with the character and the content of the show. She stayed with the show for three seasons, before moving on to a more challenging role.
The Vampire Diaries
Nina currently plays a dual character (the charming Elena and mysterious Katherine) on the hit TV show, The Vampire Diaries. She quickly developed a huge fan base as viewers saw the talent she had in playing two characters with such different personalities. Like many fans of the show, Nina’s main character Elena has difficulty choosing between two sexy Vampire brothers, Stefan and Damon. An episode on the second season of the show will bridge the gap between Nina’s onscreen and offscreen life, with the episode taking place in Bulgaria as it shows the history of Katherine.

Nikki Sanderson Biography

Sanderson joined Coronation Street in 1999 and left in Autumn 2005. Prior to this, she had appeared in children's drama Children's Ward. In 2006, she appeared in a guest role in the BBC television series New Street Law alongside other notable Coronation Street alumni Chris Gascoyne and Chris Bisson. British newspaper The Daily Express stated that she was in the running [citation needed] to replace Billie Piper as the Doctor's companion in Doctor Who, however Freema Agyeman was chosen for the role. Sanderson appeared in a production of The Vagina Monologues in Blackpool in 2006. She will next appear in the ITV series Strictly Confidential.
A naturally gifted vocalist, Sanderson loves to show this side of herself off; jumping up to sing at every opportunity, she is a self-confessed karaoke enthusiast. Recently she has made several television appearances singing, most notably on ITV's Celebrity Stars in Their Eyes, where her impression of LeAnn Rimes, singing the smash hit theme from the film Coyote Ugly, 'Can't Fight The Moonlight' earned her the winner's spot. She recently appeared on The X Factor: Battle Of The Stars in the solo 16-24 category, mentored by Sharon Osbourne where she was eliminated 5th. (It must be said, however, that Sanderson was suffering from tonsillitis at the time and was straining her voice to sing.) Despite the exit from the show, she hopes to perhaps one day pursue a music career.
She has appeared in several British men's magazines in lingerie and other provocative outfits. In June 2006, Sanderson made the cover of British men's magazine FHM and was the headlining feature of the issue, combining a photo shoot and exclusive interview with one of the magazine's journalists.
In May 2006 Sanderson played for the England women's team in the Celebrity World Cup Soccer Six tournament. Her stout performance helped her team to the final, although they eventually lost.
She has worked as a television presenter on CD:UK.
