We've been wondering how could we best describe Gemma Atkinson to you, and it'd probably sound a little something like this. Gemma is part actress, part 'personality' and quite a large chunk 'model'. We noticed her in several men's mags last week ? we're sure it's only because she's happy with her body that she likes showing it off so much....
Calling all students and unemployed people ? remember years ago, sitting on your sofa watching Hollyoaks? Well, think back to the character of Lisa Hunter, of the Hunter family, the one who self-harmed, went out with Ben, then suddenly grew up and went to work on spin-off show, Hollyoaks in the City, that used to be on really late at night on totally random days. Remember? That was our Gemma, that was!
After leaving an established show like Hollyoaks you'd think it'd be difficult to stay in the public eye. But, not for many of the female actresses it isn't ? they've got particular assets that lots of magazines are willing to pay to see.
So Gemma became a regular feature of men's mags, released calendars to hang on boys' bedrooms and became the face of lingerie manufacturers.
Not one to shy away from exposure, Gemma has taken part in plenty of reality shows. She put her singing skills to the test in short-lived Soapstar Superstar, singing against other familiar faces. She ended up coming fourth.
Next up was probably her biggest show, I'm A Celebrity. Being out in the jungle required certain types of clothes such as bikinis and little shorts, and boy did the cameramen make sure we saw every last minute of it! Despite being young, pretty and a bit of a laugh, she only came fifth.
We last saw (we didn't go, we were told... honest) Gemma was starring in Peter Pan, which is a panto (Oh no it isn't, Oh yes it is etc etc etc) playing at Manchester Opera House. Now that's done, she's probably back between the covers. Look towards the top shelf.
