This Ukrainian beauty has got it going on! Olga Kurylenko’s stellar career started with modeling at the tender age of 13 when she was spotted on Moscow’s subway by a model scout. Her first project as a model was a photo shoot in Cuba.
Later on, at the age of 16, she moved to Paris to pursue her career. Now she is working for top modeling agencies namely; Madison, Next New York, Fashion Milan, Paris ‘Francina International’, Barcelona ‘Time Model Agency’ and Zurich.
She appeared on different advertisements for the best known names in the fashion industry such as bebe, Clarins, Sisley, Just Cavalli and Kenzo ‘Amour’ Fragrance. Olga even graced some of the biggest magazine covers such as Argentina’s Glamour, France’s Elle, Marie Claire and Madame Figaro and USA’s Glamour. Aside from modeling, Olga Kurylenko eventually developed an interest in acting and decided to study drama during her spare time.
Landing on the role of Iris in L’annualier (2005) as her first big screen role. The movie attracted attention and became a favorite in the Toronto 2005 film fest. This sultry Eastern European goddess’ outstanding performance in the said French drama earned her a certificate of excellence in the Brooklyn International film festival and later on jump started her career on international film. In Quartier de la Madeleine, a 5 minute segment from “Paris, J’taime” (2006) Olga costarred Elijah Woods as a creepy blood lust vampire who fell in love with a young tourist. Predominantly, most of the roles that she engaged in were thriller roles. Just like in Le Serpent her character as the sexy seductress Sofia made it hard for audiences to forget her. She was quite contented with her performance in the movie and finding the art of bondage quite beautiful as well. Other than the two said films, she also did drama and appeared in the Le Porte- Bonheur as Sophia, a French drama which was shown in both France and Switzerland. Hitman, a movie based from a famous video game installment was shown on theaters last 2007.
Olga plays the role of Nika Boronina, a suspected witness to the killing of Belicoff. On the same year, she appeared as Eva Pirès in a French mini-series titled Suspectes. Sometime this 2008, the sci-fi drama Tyranny which was an adaptation on a web-based series will be hitting the big screen. Born on November 13, 1979 she grew up in a small town of Berdyan located in the southern part of Ukraine. Her dream was to have an exciting and glamorous life.
Here’s a fun fact about her – she is fluent in both Ukrainian and French and is on the process of studying English. Acting and modeling side by side, she will be starting up a busy acting career for 2008 with famous titles carrying her name. Sparks are flying all the way from Hollywood California as the news of her landing the role as the newest Bond Girl, Camille in the 22nd installment for the James Bond series.
